Memento Vitae — Latin for remember life — is a landmark series anchored in 50 portraits by Kris K. Each work is grounded in her signature use of a single, continuous line — a structural element that threads through the composition, evoking a lineage of influence, memory, and meaning.
From Cleopatra to Beethoven, from Van Gogh to Joan of Arc, the collection brings together a notable cast of historical figures whose legacies continue to shape the cultural imagination.
Encompassing visionary minds, transformative icons, and the notorious architects of power, each portrait becomes a meditation on presence, power, and perception across time.
Under Kris K's direction, a team of studio assistants creates variations on each subject, drawing from the thematic palettes of her Primary collection of portraiture, and exploring conceptual treatments such as "Shot Sage Blue" — a tonal homage to Warhol's Marilyn.

The Art

Kris K works with materials including acrylic paint, charcoal pencil, 24kt gold leaf, pure silver leaf, Hahnemühle canvas, cold-press archival papers, and giclée fine art printing methods.

Aside from select works based on notable figures including Marilyn Monroe and Frida Kahlo, Kris K's portraits are original figures conceived through Kris K's conceptual vision.
Kris K often challenges herself with unexpected or unconventional color combinations - sometimes deliberately choosing palettes she initially doubts. This process leads to bold, impactful results. Her use of non-naturalistic skin tones - such as purples, pinks, and greens - creates a visual language that invites universal connection.

Shipping and Delivery
Yes, we offer global shipping to most countries. Some restrictions may apply depending on local customs regulations.

Original Paintings and Mixed Media: Shipped directly from Kris K's studio in Panama. Please note that buyers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees. You will be contacted directly by DHL once the shipment arrives in your country.
Fine art prints: Shipped from the United States. All U.S. and international shipments of Fine art prints are delivered with import duties and taxes prepaid.
Original Paintings and Mixed Media: Delivered within approx. 14 business days.

Yes, the shipping company will contact you directly with a tracking number. Depending on your country and the shipping process we use for your order, the notification will state the shipment is from "Kris K Art", "RIP TECHNOLOGIES", or "Wall Art".
All packaging is designed to protect the artwork securely during transit.
Original paintings and Mixed media works are shipped in a custom wooden packing crate.
Fine Art prints are shipped either flat-packed or in reinforced tubes, depending on size and framing.
Yes, all shipments include tracking and insurance to protect against loss or damage.
We use DHL along with other carefully chosen shippers to ensure your work arrives in perfect condition.
Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of fine art and the complexities of international shipping - including insurance, duties, and custom packaging - all sales are final. We do not accept returns or offer refunds.
If your order is damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Include clear photographs of the item and packaging. We will arrange for a replacement and coordinate return of the damaged piece. Replacements are offered only for artworks damaged in transit.
